Burned Out.

Working 48 hours or more every week is exhausting.

Less time for social life.
Far from family.
Always busy.
Stressed.
Depressed.
Hungry.
Tired.

And then life repeats itself again the next day.

A few minutes ago, I found myself praying:

“Lord, kailan Niyo po ako bibigyan ng maraming pera?”

Then afterwards…

“Lord, bakit ang dami po?”
(referring to delivery receipts at work) 😅

Funny how we ask for blessings, but sometimes forget the responsibilities that come with them.

There are days when I keep asking:

“Why me?”
“Why can’t things be easier?”
“Why do I always feel tired doing this?”
“Why am I not happy at all?”

Sometimes it feels like I’m just surviving instead of actually living.

If only I were rich, I’d probably take my family somewhere far away.
No stress. No deadlines. No worries.

Just rest.
Peace.
And time together.

Because honestly, after working too much for too long, you start realizing that what you really want is not luxury — it’s peace of mind.

Civil Service Exam — First Take, Negative.

I decided to take the Civil Service Exam because I had a dream.

My dream was to work at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas someday. And before that, I wanted to study for my master’s degree at University of the Philippines Diliman.

My plan was simple:

Pass the Civil Service Exam → enroll at UP Diliman → apply at BSP.

Everything seemed clear in my mind.

Then came December 7, 2012 — the release of results.

I checked the list.

My name wasn’t there.

That moment broke me.

Not only because my plans suddenly felt distant, but because I was also afraid of what my parents would say. I was already expecting disappointment, comparisons, and questions about why others passed while I didn’t.

I kept asking myself:

“How come?”
“Maybe it’s not meant for me?”
“Or maybe I just need to try again?”
“What should I do now?”

Sometimes failure hits harder when you already imagined your future so clearly.

But maybe one failed exam doesn’t define everything.

Maybe dreams don’t end after one “negative” result. Maybe they just take a different route — or require more courage than we expected.

Right now, I honestly don’t know the answer yet.

But maybe trying again is already an answer.

First Time Trying Diamond Peel & RF Treatment

First Session – Diamond Peel

It was a holiday, but I still went to work. I remember there was flooding in our area, so I couldn’t go home immediately. During my lunch break, I left the office to meet up with Rea because we already had our treatment scheduled.

We followed the map included in the voucher… and that’s where the adventure started. 😅

When we arrived in the area, we kept walking around trying to find the spa. We even asked some nearby residents, but nobody seemed to know the place or even the address. Some of them probably thought we were another pair of people who got scammed by a fake address, which honestly made us nervous too.

We tried checking nearby streets, hoping it was just around the corner, but still nothing. Eventually, we decided to head back.

When we reached Waltermart, we asked one of the guards — and finally, someone actually knew where it was! 😂 He pointed us in the right direction.

When we finally arrived at the spa, there were no customers around, so even though we arrived late, they still accommodated us immediately.

Treatment Experience

The treatment itself was nice. It felt relaxing and refreshing. The only downside was that it felt too short. I think the whole session lasted around 10 minutes or less.

Second Session (After 2 Weeks)

I ended up waiting for Rea for quite a while. 😅
As usual, we arrived late again… but thankfully it was still okay, just like during the first session.

Third Session (After 2 Weeks)

This time, she was the one waiting for me. 😂
Same situation as our first and second sessions.

RF Treatment at Power Peel

After our last Diamond Peel session, we headed straight to Power Peel to use our two vouchers for legs and thighs.

And honestly… it was intense. 😂

Treatment Experience – RF

At first, I thought I wouldn’t feel anything.

Turns out, I was completely wrong. 😭

They first applied cold gel, which felt fine. Then they started using the RF machine.

At first it was tolerable… but as the session went on, it became hotter and hotter.

LIKE REALLY HOT. 🔥

Add to that the pressure from the therapist while moving the machine around. I honestly felt like my legs were being ironed. 😂

After around 3–5 minutes, I already wanted to give up. In my head, I was literally praying:

“Lord, please… make it stop. I’m never doing this again.” 😭

But to be fair, I did notice that my legs looked slightly slimmer after the treatment.

Final Verdict

Facial/Diamond Peel or RF + Jogging?

For me:

DIAMOND PEEL + JOGGING. 😂

I’d rather exercise than go through painful treatments. 😅

How about you?
Which one would you choose?
